Top 5 Gluten Free Trader Joe’s Items

I love Trader Joe’s and these 5 things are some of my absolute favorite! I buy them pretty much every time I go.

If you didn’t already know, I have a deep love and appreciation for Trader Joe’s. I go at least twice a month. It’s great for quick meals, snacks, drinks and fun items. They have a nice selection of gluten free items. Several items are not labeled gluten free but contain no gluten ingredients. Many gluten free individuals will only buy items labeled gluten free, particularly those with celiac disease or other health concerns. For the first few years I was the the same. I’ve since become less strict and allowed myself to eat things not labeled gluten free and have had no issues. It has also made life more enjoyable but this is a personal choice each gluten free shopper must make. Personally, it has increased the variety and enjoyment of my grocery shopping!

Trader Joe’s doesn’t have all the produce I typically look for but here are several items I grab every time I go. For a longer list, check out this video.

  1. Garlic Dip: This creamy garlic dip is so addictive! It’s great for snack boards, Mediterranean dishes and breakfast. I can find an excuse to put on just about everything, even subs. I like to smother it on the hashbrowns (next item) as well.

2. Frozen hashbrowns: These are so easy to eat and great smothered with garlic dip, and topped with a fried egg, pickled onions and goat cheese. My favorite way to cook them is twice in the toaster. Check out the video.

3. Gluten Free Everything Bagel: These are without a doubt my favorite gluten free bagel! Usually I’ll buy an extra to freeze because they go fast. They are softest when tasted, like most gluten free breads. Others just don’t compare.

4. Pastrami Style Smoked Salmon: This is one of my favorite things at Trader Joe’s, period! Putting it on the everything bagels with some whipped cream cheese is to die for! It’s also great for appetizers.

5. Harvest Salad with Grilled Chicken: This is my favorite of the packaged salads and I’m always working to eat more salads! The only thing about the salads is you need to eat it right away. They usually expire within a day or two, have you noticed?
