I’ve gone to Palm Springs every year since before COVID with some friends. We used to drive up when we lived in Los Angeles and now we fly. I always find places to eat but there has been a time or two when I’ve been walking around and place after place tells me they don’t have gluten free/celiac safe options. I’ve included in this list places I have tried as well as places I researched but didn’t make it. I tend to stick to places I know when we go to be safe and generally stay somewhere with a kitchen so we can cook. As always, ask your own questions.
Boozehounds: I’ve been here for brunch and dinner and both meals were great. They are very accommodating for celiacs.
Cheeky’s: A gluten free friend suggested this place for breakfast. They don’t have a gluten free menu but were able to accomodate. It is a small kitchen.
Eight4Nine Restaurant & Lounge: I haven’t eaten here but they have gluten free labels on their menu and good reviews on Find Me Gluten Free.
El Patron: This was a trip favorite by everyone. They make their chips in the am in a clean fryer. Seems suspect, but I’m always good. I always ask for their hot habanero salsa.
High Bar Palm Springs: There are not many options at the pool menu but they said they could do a lettuce wrap burger. This place is mostly for the rooftop view and pool.
LuLu California Bistro: They do have a gluten free menu, I remember that we just missed the brunch which had the items I was eyeing and I don’t remember what I got. I do believe their fryers are a no-go for celiacs.
Rooster and the Pig: Reportedly most the menu is gluten free as they use tamari. They do have shared fryer but it doesn’t appear to limit options much.
Sammy G’s Tuscan Grill: I’ve been here a few times and always get a gluten free pasta. They have good salads as well.
Sam’s Place: A nice little brunch/lunch spot, they had good gluten free english muffins and hamburger buns available with a sad little side salad.
Tommy Bahamas: I didn’t eat here but flagged it on Find Me Gluten Free as a good option.
Zin American Bistro: I got steak and fries! The fried were reportedly cross contamination free, but I would double check because it has been a while. I don’t remember them having a gluten free menu but they did have options.
