Drumsticks are super easy and delicious. I bet it’s not something you buy often! I saw them when I did my first Costco trip in Albuquerque and bought them on the whim. It’s just my husband and I so we have been eating a lot of drumsticks. I’m not complaining! I did make them when we had my best friend over and again with my dad.
This recipe is for the dry rub, which it’s seriously amazing. The skin gets nice and crusty and the seasoning is delicious. You can make a wet rub if you want. I recommend this maple Sriracha sauce from Tyra Banks. It’s super tasty! You may notice from that recipe link I posted that I cook these drumsticks the same time I did the wings. That makes this easy to remember!
The seasoning I use is garlic salt with parsley from Costco (or make your own), and 21 seasoning salute from Trader Joe’s. 21 seasoning is one of my absolute favorite seasonings. I put it on salads, meats, you name it. If you have a Trader Joe’s near you I highly recommend you get this seasoning. If not you can make your own. The below is a picture of the ingredients. You notice I don’t put how much seasoning to use and that is because you need to season with your heart! I stole that phrase from a girl on TikTok I can’t remember. But it’s so true! Many things shouldn’t be measured except by preference. This is one of those recipes where more seasoning is better.
I’ve been serving these with a side salad or brussel sprouts. I hope you enjoy this recipe!
