Taco Salad

I do like a good salad. I can do a plain side salad but I much prefer a hearty salad. This taco salad is definitely one of those salads you want to eat and it only takes about 15 minutes to throw together. My husband and I agreed that we could do with eating more salads. I'm sure for the reasons everyone else eats more salads, overall health. Maybe also as a result of COVID eating. That doesn't mean life has to be boring. I'm looking forward to showing you some more of my salads that you can be excited to eat. Don't miss them on tiktok!

I love this salad because the salsa is the salad dressing. Trader Joe's has several fun salsas you can choose from. I went with authentic salsa. A taco salad is typically just your ground meat, beans, corn, shredded cheese, salsa and often some sort of crunch like tortilla strips. I passed on the crunch but those chili lime rolled corn tortillas from Trader Joe's would be awesome to toss in. You will also see that I made my own taco seasoning. You can absolutely find prepared taco seasoning just double check your labels. They are not all gluten free, particularly the packets. Buyer Beware!
